I was extremely proud to represent Chippenham Town Council at the Merchant Navy Day commemoration outside Chippenham Town Hall. My father was in the Navy and I reflected with one of the sea cadets about memories my Father had shared with me about his time as a Chippenham Sea Cadet 65 years ago.
We will never forget the service of those we lost in service for our country.
