I attended the Remembrance Service this morning in Chippenham. I was humbled by the sheer number of people who lined the High Street and gathered around the War Memorial, despite the weather. The parade of both active service personnel, Veterans and other groups was impressive to witness.
It gave me time to reflect on the service of my Grandfather, who served in the Royal Marines and my father in the Royal Navy.
This is a poignant reminder of what is going on in the world at the moment but for all our fallen heroes…. WE WILL REMEMBER THEM.
