On Saturday 17th February 2024, an official spokesperson for Alexei Navalny, the Russian Opposition Leader, confirmed that he had tragically died on Friday 16th February 2024 at 2.17pm.
Following the news, Nic Puntis said:
"The death of Alexei Navalny is a shock to the world. He lived a life of dedication and public service, exposing corruption of the Russian system. We must now make it clear that the Russian authorities must be held accountable for his death. Freedom must always prevail."
