We all recognise the selflessness and bravery that members of the Armed Forces display in service of our country and thank them for their sacrifice. A career in the armed forces is unique but we must recognise that our Service personnel and their families can face disadvantages due to the unique nature of their service. I believe they deserve the highest levels of care and support which is why I will not only uphold and support the Armed Forces Covenant here in Wiltshire but I will lobby Government to increase defence spending to ensure we have a military fit and ready for any potential threat to our nation.
